Agreement on disabling of North Korean nuclear facilities

A deal has been agreed between North Korea, Japan, Russia, South Korea and the United States that will lead to the disabling of the three main nuclear facilities at North Korea's Yongbyon siteand the declaration of all North Korean nuclear programs by the end of the year. The deal was hailed by US authorities as a major step forward. North Korea will receive nearly a million tonnes of heavy fuel oil and the US will move towards taking North Korea off its terrorism blacklist.
