UGRK to develop uranium deposits in Ukraine and Mongolia

[Nuclear Market Review, 15 December] Russia's newly-formed state-owned uranium mining enterprise, Uranium Ore Mining Co (UGRK), plans to develop uranium deposits in Ukraine and Mongolia. Alexander Shkarovsky, head of UGRK, said that a joint venture may be formed to develop the Novokonstantinovsk deposit in Ukraine,which could produce 2500 tonnes of uranium annually by 2020. The Erdesdeposit in Mongolia could produce another 500 tonnes of uranium annually.
