Higashidori-1 NPS delays reported

08 January 2008

[Nikkei: 5 January] TEPCO will postponed plans for construction of the Higashidori-1 NPS by one year, according to Japanese business daily Nikkei. Construction was due to start in December 2008. With the delay, necessitated by more stringent safety requirements introduced after the earthquake at the Kashiwazaki-Karima plant, the Higashidori plant is expected to be operational in fiscal year 2015/16.
