UK nuclear honoured

Three UK nuclear workers were included on Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Birthday Honours list on 16 June. Admitted to the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire as Officers (OBEs) were Frank Briscoe, of the UKAEA Culham centre, for services to fusion energy development; and Robert Armour, of British Energy, for services to the electricity industry. Barry Snelson, managing director of the Sellafield site for British Nuclear Group Sellafield, became a Member (MBE) for services to the nuclear industry. The order of chivalry was established by King George V in 1917.
