CNNC extends cooperation with Suzhou University

China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) and Suzhou University have signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at expanding their existing cooperation in nuclear medicine and nuclear technology applications. Suzhou University is in the eastern-central coastal province of Jiangsu.

The agreement was signed in Beijing yesterday by CNNC Vice President Li Qingtang and University of Suzhou President Xiong Sidong. The signing was witnessed by CNNC Chairman Yu Jianfeng and the principal of the University of Suzhou, Jiang Yong.

CNNC and Suzhou University will accelerate the establishment of the "School-enterprise Co-construction Industry Platform", strengthen cooperation in production, research and development exchanges, personnel training, professional skills development, etc, and promote the commercialisation and application of nuclear medical technology and other related industries."

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Yu noted that CNNC and Suzhou University have maintained close and fruitful cooperation in nuclear medicine and nuclear technology applications, and have achieved a series of important results. He added that he hoped the two sides will take the opportunity of strategic cooperation to carry out joint research and development and forward-looking research, and realise major breakthroughs at an early date. Yu said CNNC and Suzhou University should promote the high-quality development of China's nuclear science and technology industry.
