Franco-Tunisian nuclear agreement signed

An intergovernmental cooperation agreement on development of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes was among eight cooperation agreements signed by the French and Tunisian prime ministers at a ceremony in Tunis. The signing of the agreements by Francois Fillon and Monahmed Ghannouchi completes the process begun during a visit to Tunisia by French president Nicolas Sarkozy in April 2008.
