Tournigan Energy has updated its resource estimate for the Kuriskova uranium deposit in Slovakia. According to the latest NI 430-101 compliant estimate, the deposit contains indicated resources of 28.5 million pounds U3O8 (10,965 tU) at an ore grade of 0.555% U3O8. This is a 39% increase from the previous estimate of indicated resources. In addition, inferred resources at the deposit have increased to 12.7 million pounds U3O8 (4885 tU) at 0.185% U3O8. Tournigan president and CEO Dorian Nicol said, "We are confident that this indicated resource is of sufficient size and grade to be the basis of a reserve for the Kuriskova prefeasibility study, which we expect to complete around the end of this year." According to Tournigan, Kuriskova "remains one of the highest grade known uranium deposits in the world outside of Canada's Athabasca Basin."
