A team of international experts led by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has completed a review of the corporate performance of French utility EDF. The team noted several good practices at EDF and proposed suggestions to strengthen some safety measures.

Surveyor robot checks pipework
An inspection of an underground pipe at a US nuclear power plant has been successfully completed using GE Hitachi's Surveyor robot. Previously, such examinations have usually involved excavation work.

Bruce simulator upgrade completed
Units 2 and 3 of the Bruce A nuclear power plant will have state-of-the-art reactor simulators after the completion of upgrade work. The project is the first Candu simulator upgrade to be carried out by GSE Systems.
