Another option for Hanhikivi
Fennovoima has invited Rosatom to participate in "direct negotiations" on the supply of a mid-sized AES-2006 reactor for its planned Hanhikivi plant in Finland. Toshiba's larger EU-ABWR is also under consideration.

Tohoku scraps plan for Namie-Odaka plant
Long-standing plans for the construction of a new nuclear power plant in Japan's Fukushima prefecture have been dropped by utility Tohoku Electric Power Company. The Namie-Odaka plant was first proposed some 45 years ago.
