More revisions to Fukushima zones

Another area in the zone surrounding the stricken Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant has had its evacuation status revised by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

The revision sees parts of the Okuma-machi zone changed to allow restricted access to residents, although they may not stay overnight. Some parts of the zone have now been declared a "restricted" area where entry can only be gained for a specific purpose, marked orange on METI's map. Remaining parts of the zone are now classed as a "difficult" area, where entry is allowed only in exceptional circumstances and when it is in the public interest, marked in pink. Screening is required for anybody entering the "difficult" area.
The zone is the closest to the stricken plant to date to be removed from the fully evacuated area, outlined in red on METI's map.
