Skanska collaborates with SKB on repository expansion
Sweden's radioactive waste management company Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB has signed a collaboration agreement with construction firm Skanska regarding the expansion of the existing SFR final repository for low and intermediate-level waste at Forsmark.

Agreement ensures demo Natrium plant's HALEU needs will be met

France, India expand cooperation to include SMRs
France and India are to launch a cooperation programme on small modular reactors and advanced modular reactors. The announcement came after a meeting in Paris between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of France Emmanuel Macron, during which they noted progress made on the six-EPR power plant project in Jaitapur, India.

Korean, Polish construction firms team up for nuclear projects
Among the agreements signed during a Polish-Korean business forum on 14 July was a memorandum of understanding between Poland's KGHM Polska Miedź SA and South Korea's Samsung C&T Corporation on the implementation of low and zero-emission technologies, including small modular reactors. Daewoo Engineering & Construction signed an MoU with Polish construction firm ERBUD to carry out new projects in the country, including the construction of nuclear power plants.

Norwegian firm enlists Finnish help in deploying SMRs
Norsk Kjernekraft has signed a letter of intent with TVO Nuclear Services - a consulting company wholly owned by Finnish utility Teollisuuden Voima Oyj - to jointly investigate the deployment of small modular reactors in Norway.
