Kazakhstan and Ukraine consider joint nuclear projects

[Interfax, 14 December] Kazakhstan and Ukraine will consider joint nuclear energy projects. Kazakh Prime Minister Danial Akhmetov and Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych signed a joint statement giving the go-ahead for the participation of Ukrainian companies in projects to construct nuclear power plants in Kazakhstan. The Kazakh authorities are considering building a nuclear power plant with two or three low-capacity reactors.
